Sunglasses Should Be Compulsory

Holidays would not be the same without sunglasses. They have been both a functional and fashionable accessory for many years now.Sunglasses can range from $5 to many thousands and it is predicted that the average person will own 50 pairs in their life. But what makes sun glasses such an important thing to take on holiday with you

Driving.  A lot of people choose to hire a car when they are abroad, especially during Caribbean holidays.Additionally people taking holidays within their own countries frequently drive there themselves.Accidents happen every year abroad when people are distracted when the sun gets in their eyes or even through drivers overheating. By wearing a pair of sunnies it will keep the sun off a portion of the face and therefore not allow the head to heat up as much. They will also stop the sun from getting in the drivers eyes and can prevent glare or sun reflections.

Sun Blindness. If you do not wear sun glasses for your whole, lets say Barbados holidays, you run the risk of getting slightly more permanent blindness. If the sun is in contact with the eyes for an extended period of time, there are two possible hazards. The retina can become damaged from over exposure and also the fine muscles that control eye movements can become damaged from over straining. either of these can cause blindness but more frequently they cause vision to become blurred discoloured

Cancer. Your eyes can suffer from the sun’s rays as well as you skin. U.V rays alter the DNA make up of cells within the sensitive eye tissue can case these cells to multiply in a cancerous way. Eye cancer is very difficult to treat and often leads to a removal of the eye ball and any other effected tissue. To give yourself the best chance of avoiding cancer, purchase decent sunglasses that give one hundred percent U.V guard and don’t forget to wear them
