My london experience is exactly as I read in books in my school days
I was invited to London by my supplier with whom I have done business for 10 years. I in the garment industry and I have visited some of my suppliers in Holland and France before. I was very anxious to visit the Capital of England to see some of the things that I have read in books during my school days. I reserved a week to stay in Russell square and also another week to stay in Victoria. There were the places I was more interested in because it helped me to be close to the West End and also the South London.
I got to London Heathrow on British airways and took a taxi to the Russell square area and checked in to Tavistock hotel. It was a long and tiresome journey from the airport. There are many good hotels in london Russell Square.
Although it was my first day in the area, I happen to like the the place. I grabbed my map and started my London tour to see for real what I have read about. I was so pleased with whatever I saw in london. My tour started when I decided to explore Russell Square first. I visited the British Museum and the British Library. It was not surprising when I arrived at Covent Garden from the British Museum because I saw the Street performers in the area just as I have read about.
For the rest of the week at Tavistock hotel London, I visited the West end area. During my exploration of the west End, I went to Marble Arch and also Oxford Circus. The Theatreland or the Leicester Square has a lot of theatres so it is no wonder the areas has been named so. From Leicester Square, I proceeded to Piccadilly Circus and found the place to be very busy and exciting. I paid a visit to the shopping streets in the West End area on my 5th day and was surprised to see that the place was so dense with shoppers and other tourists. The Regent street, the Bond street and the oxford street were very packed. The China town is dominated by chinese restaurants. I also took the chance to explore the Soho area too.
I went to stay in Victoria area in my second week as booked through Cheap London hotels agency. Victoria area was a place I wanted to be because of the Landmarks in the area. I went to see the changing of the guard at Buckingham palace of my first day as Victoria. The Tower Clock or the Big Bend was what I was dying to see due to what I have read in books in my school days. Just a few metres away from the Big Ben are the Houses of Parliamnet. At the parliament Square, I went to have a look at the Westminster Abbey. The London Eye’s location was the last place of interest I visited in the Victoria neighbourhood. It is an amazing design which every on should see. I then understood why the structure is an iconic Landmark. I enjoyed my stay in Central London and I would like to stay in the cheap hotels in Russell square as they have good accommodation standard but lower rates.
Russell Square area in London
The Russell Square which is not far from Holborn and in the Bloomsbury area. It is a huge garden Square. In naming the Square, the Earls and Duke of Bedford’s name was taken into account. The area has become so popular to London tourists nowadays and many stay there. Firstly, one can connect easily to the other major areas of London as well as all other parts of the West End from Russell Square. The Piccadilly line from Russell Square runs direct through London areas.

The Oxfoud street is a very popular shopping Street. There are a lot of buses moving from the Russell square to all other parts of central London. To move from one area to the other is done quicker by the underground but to see more of London, it is better to travel around with bus. Euston station is so close to the Russell Square station. The distance is just about 7 minutes walking distance.
You will find some tourist attractions in London Bloomsbury area and many of the are located close to the Russell Square area. Also located close to the Russell Square is the British Museum in Bloomsbury. It is just minutes away from the Russell Square. The British Library is also close to the Russell Square. The University College of London on Gower Street is also among the places of interest in Russell Square vicinity. There are many restaurants and shops in Covent Garden apart from the exciting street performers. It happens to be the centre of the London West End and it is not far away from the Russell Square area. Within some few minutes, one can move from Russell Square to The Strand, Piccadilly Circus, Theatreland and the Charing Cross.
