Holiday Taking Us to the Spa
We are really not the kind of family that end up going abroad a lot, simply because of money worries. We are a normal working class family who can just live with our every day lives. Our usual holidays just consist of visiting a caravan park out of season and spending a bit of time together.
My story started when we agreed to enter a family holiday exchange event, where we had to take a random family on holiday with us and then they took us on holiday. When we initially applied we never ever dreamt of being picked, but then we suddenly received a phone call and were so happy.
When we initially met the family they come across as very pleasant although they were a lot wealthier then us, I knew that we could have got along a huge amount. First of all, they came on holiday with us where we took them to a caravan resort. After a few days I could really see that they were unhappy, they were not used to living rough, but I respect them for putting up with it.
As the time got closer for us to go on holiday with them, I started to get excited because I knew they were going to take us abroad and that is something that I had never experienced. When they announced we were off to some Malaysia spa holidays I was jumping with joy. When we arrived it was like heaven on Earth. The next week was truly amazing.
Since returning back I now go out of my way to make sure that I visit spa holidays every single year, sometimes even twice a year.
Great Honeymoon Destinations In Europe
What is the most important ingredient for an unforgettable romantic vacation? Out-of-the-way accommodations? Excellent food? Spectacular scenery? Fun couple activities? If you answered yes to one or all of these, then you might want to consider heading to Europe for European romantic getaways. After all, Europe is home to some of the most romantic places in the world.
Strolling through Prague
Going for a quiet stroll is one of the most romantic activities and one best enjoyed under the dim light of the stars and the old-fashioned street lamps in the winding cobblestone streets of Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. Enjoy the scenic views while walking hand in hand on uncrowded lanes where horse-drawn carriages pass by at their own leisurely pace. You can always hail one if you get tired so you can snuggle up the rest of the way to your hotel or rent a rowboat on the Vltava river to add even more magic to your evening.
There are other cities in Europe that are perfect for a romantic evening stroll, including Bruges in Belgium and Tallinn in Estonia. It goes without saying that the cities of Paris and Rome are worth considering as destinations for European romantic getaways, too.
Most Romantic Hotel – The Hotel de la Cite
There are many romantic hotels in Europe but if you really want to be treated like royalty or get a fairy tale experience, staying at the Hotel de la Cite is a fantastic idea. Located in Carcassonne, France, the Hotel de la Cite is actually a well-preserved castle located in a medieval citadel, which means you’ll get to enjoy spectacular views while going up and down spiral staircases and strolling through formal gardens. The individually furnished hotel rooms and suites are equipped with the latest amenities, though, including Wi-Fi access, satellite TV, a video recorder and even a laptop computer available upon request.
Dining at Le Manoir
Just as the best dates consist of a romantic dinner for two, there is no doubt that the excellent cuisine of Europe contributes to memorable European romantic getaways. One of the places where you can sample this is at the Le Manoir in the village of Oxfordshire, a two Michelin-starred restaurant which offers meticulously prepared dishes spiced with fresh herbs grown in its own two-acre backyard and excellent wines coupled with a charming ambience of relaxing countryside views and candlelight. Reserving a table weeks in advance is recommended.
Lounging on the Sands of Papa Cove
Europe also has many wonderful beaches and coves for those who love soaking up the sun and the sand, such as the Papa Cove on the eastern shore of the Ios island in Greece. This cove offers warm golden sands, calm crystal waters that are perfect for swimming and most importantly, walls of rock that provide a sanctuary for lovers, shielding them from the noise and the crowds of nearby beaches.
Skiing at St. Moritz
Ski resorts can also be great destinations for European romantic getaways, particularly the St. Moritz ski resort in Switzerland. Aside from being one of the best ski resorts in the world for its great slopes, St. Moritz also offers plenty of restaurants, shops and hotels – all with panoramic views of the unparalleled Engadine countryside.
All these and more make Europe an outstanding destination for romantic getaways. Indeed, whether you’re visiting in the summer or in winter, or no matter where in Europe you plan to spend most of your vacation, you’re sure to enjoy your European romantic getaways with your loved one.

Are you travelling to Spain? This is the best audio book to take with you
Are you planning a vacation in Spain?
It’s time you thought about learning Spanish. It’s a real bonus to be able to speak with people while you are away. It is very important to be able to converse with airport and hotel staff, also when you are exploring.
Don’t think you need to learn the language? Well, if so you need to know that almost everyone you meet will be speaking the language. If you’re not able to understand of converse with people it can really have an effect on your holiday, it could spoil your experience.
So, yes, you need to really consider learning the Spanish language before you embark on your trip to Spain.
Oh… you are thinking of traveling next week and so won’t have enough time to learn it?
Don’t worry about that. Just getting your hands on the right audio book about learning Spanish language can teach you the language within a very short time.
Impossible?
Not really.
There are many audio books that teach the Spanish language, but my favorite is – “One-Day Spanish: Teach Yourself” by Elisabeth Smith.
This incredible audio book is ideal for anyone that wants to go holidaying in Spain. The title says it all, it’s a one day crash course that really will teach you the language so much quicker than you would have thought.
There’s no complex grammar or studying to do, just really quick and fun speaking practice. And guess what? It really is awesome for helping you learn the Spanish language.
Still think it’s impossible?
Here is something interesting. If any one person can learn a particular 50 – 100 words in the English language, that is all it takes to be able to actually understand and possibilly even speak the language?
A good example would be this article, it will not have more than 50 – 100 words. Most words are always repeated when we speak, whether in the English language or any other language.
This is the same case pretty much every other language, Spanish inclusive.
The “One-Day Spanish: Teach Yourself” by Elisabeth Smith is really good as it teaches you the fifty words you will need in the Spanish language.
With this audio book, which is just about 1 hour and 8 minutes, will enable you speak holiday Spanish in only one day!
An excellent source that I have found for audio book downloads is Spoken Network. You can find them at:
