Why I Stayed Abroad to Work at the Safari?
I am 30 years old and my story began when I was small, I have always had a fascination for seeing animals and wildlife it was just so overwhelming I honestly could not get enough of it. I used to annoy my parents to bring me to the zoo every single week. When we used to go I did love to bring a long my camera with me so that I could record all of the fascinating animals. Within a few years my bedroom wall was covered full of fascinating images.
I continued my education in college where I studied art and photography, after completing the course I decided against going to uni and instead getting a job down the sea life centre. The job was one that I enjoyed but in the back of my mind there was always something missing.
When I turned 25 I received the best gift ever from my parents, safari holidays were an up and coming trend, but to be honest I could have never afforded to go. Once I did receive my tickets I was very happy.
Once I arrived on my Kenya holidays I just felt that I belonged to be here. The feeling just got stronger and stronger and the more time I stayed there. I just did not feel like returning home, things were so much better here. So do you realise what? I did decide to to return to my home country, although I do miss the people close to me I have had 5 happy years in Kenya.
I was brought into this world to be part of nature and that is where I want to stay, I am also earning a great bit of cash by selling on my wildlife photos, but not everything is about the money.
Why More Holiday Time is Being Given to Employees
As everyone has already experienced, we are in the midst of a huge economic downturn, which had affected a lot of individual businesses.
People all over the world are trying to save money in these current times, so companies have realised that one of the best ways to try and do this is by either offloading staff, which has ultimately ended up in a huge unemployment rate, or a new approach that companies are taking and allowing workers to take a lot longer holiday time.
Businesses all over the world are looking at various ways to reward staff, but without increasing their pay packet. So the best way to do this by increasing there holiday allocation time. But this has a major positive effect for a couple of reasons.
1) Staff are pretty gloomy at the moment as they simply do not know if there jobs are going to be secure enough, so by offering them more holidays you are in fact decreasing there stress levels throughout the year. Making them work a lot more efficiently.
2) It helps the company save money in the long run, people always want pay rises every years, but companies cannot afford it at the moment, so maybe giving them extra holiday time is the key to keep them happy.
Summing up this is a great method and technique that both employees and employers can benefit from, in my opinion the employers will save themselves a huge amount of money and in return the staff will be more relaxed because they will have more time to spend on themselves and could go on holiday or safari holidays at least twice a year.
For great Kenya holidays
