A Ride On The Bamboo Train Track in Cambodia
The Bamboo Railway is in Cambodia, north of The Capital of Phnom Penh.
The Bamboo Train Battambang are not actually trains in the standard sense. They’re more like tiny single platforms of bamboo, huge enough to seat maybe 6 individuals, they run along the line powered by a tiny diesel motor.
The bamboo trains run on one track, so the train stops and the guests have to jump off the train… onto the dirt beside the railway track although the Bamboo Train driver disassembles the train and moves it nicely clear of the railway line, so that the other bamboo train can pass by.
When the other bamboo trains have passed, it is the train drivers job to then put his train back together so that you may continue your ride to the end of the train line.
We rode the Bamboo Train ourselves. The return ride lasting for about 1, as soon the railway is rumoured to be getting replaced.
